Wow. I am kind of surprised at the response Gary Sheffield just got for his homer, but I didn't realize it was also his 500th career home run. I am not sure if I am all right with him being a Met, but I will take his home runs when he hits them.

They were talking to the new archbishop earlier, and apparently the Mets (the groundskeepers?) asked him to bless the sprinklers, so they'd be watering the field with holy water. He declined, but now I want to add that into any Dean/baseball=OTP fic I write. I kind of want to write the story of him breaking the goat curse on the Cubs (and being instrumental in breaking the Red Sox' curse), but I feel like maybe people who are actually fans of those teams should write that story. I do want to write Dean getting to play in some kind of league, though, while on a case. Because Dean/baseball will always be OTP to me. I just hope canon never contradicts it.

And I got involved in something else and now the mets are tied in the bottom of the 9th with two out and two on, and well, I am not hopeful, given their history of leaving men on base in this game. Ahahahaha! And they just won on a walk-off single.

I enjoyed Bones last night, but I was involved in a rather intense conversation, so I think I missed some stuff. I hope it's still on the DVR so I can rewatch it. And who knew bringing up Criminal Minds the other day would generate so many comments. Huh. I have added it to my list of shows to catch up on, though I think I am due a Middleman rewatch, simply because it's so angst-free and maybe I want to write that MM/SPN crossover where Wendy and Dean fight zombies and have hot sex in the Impala afterwards.

I found this essay really interesting: Heroism and the Tenor (Jesus is always a bass), and I am possibly going to think that the reason Jensen is doing that stupid faux Batman voice for Dean has something to do with ... something. That it has a point - aesthetic or thematic - I am missing (a point beyond, Dean is emo and wants to tell you about it, I mean. As long as he never floats in a metaphorical lake of his own manpain...).
