I agree with you on most of the points there. Lily, absolutely fabulous. I did however cry, A LOT. I'm not really sure why, I never really liked Snape that much. I think it was all the Marauder-ness. The brief glimpses make me so happy...

Bella's death = Um, what?

Best none JKR line: "That's my girlfriend you numpty!" Ron. <3

Yeah, it's always great to see some Marauders (even if it's poorly handled at times). You have to take what you can get.

Oh yeah, Bella's death was weird and random. I mean I know that she dies, but it was really strange how they did it.

"That's my girlfriend you numpty!"
Alright, where was that line in the movie? I've heard about it, and I was listening for it, but there was a lot of laughter and noise so I definitely missed it.

It was in the Room of Requirement, Draco n' co are closing in on Harry and Hermoine comes out of nowhere and hurls a charm at them and then one of them retaliates before they start running off after Draco and then Rom runs after them yelling 'that's my girlfriend you numpty!'

I missed a lot of lines because people were laughing or crying loudly. Oh wait, that was me. :3

I have to admit I loved Remus and Tonks reaching for each other's hands but never touching. That seemed... exactly metaphorical enough.

I didn't quite interpret it that way, but I definitely like that idea!

It's getting quite the mixed reviews from people around here. I'm still excited to see it. We're going tonight! What I want to know is: a. is wee!Sirius adorable? b. is the forest scene awesome? Is Teddy as poorly cast as he seemed to be in pictures? ;)

Pottermore should definitely be interesting, though everyone's already published stories will probably be kicked firmly into AU territory, heh. Those that tried to follow canon, I mean. That's cool, though!

You should definitely be excited to see it--mixed reviews or otherwise. It was a proper finish. Not a book finish, but an exciting, resolving finish.

BB!Sirius and his curls are adorable. And when I say adorable, I mean he's a total heathen in the two scenes we get with him, lol. Brief, but a fitting end for our Pads. And Teddy, well, don't be looking for him. At all. Or expecting him to crop up more than once in a single sentence. It's sorta:

Harry: But, Lupin, your son who has never been mentioned at all before this moment after you're dead! What will he do without you?!
Remus: Lol, it's all good.

It'll be interesting if people take Pottermore info as interview!canon or book!canon. I'll probably view it as interview!canon myself. :)

Yeah, I figure it will held as the equivalent of interview canon. Heck, I love AUs anyway, so I'm not fussed regardless.

Poor Teddy. Poor Lupin. I can't wait to see Sirius being a brat. ;)

I just wrote my own review and we definitely shared a few points, like the soundtrack? Brilliant. Alexandre Desplat blew me away with The Painted Veil and ever since I've loved his work.

+ The part where you never see the falling out of Snape and Lily. Seriously, that is such an important couple of scenes, and without it, Lily looks like a cold bitch for picking James and James...well, James never gets his redemption. ..Not that I was expecting it, but I had some hope. This pissed me off the most about the movie. I was kind of expecting it, but JFC, they make James out to be more of a prick than JKR did in the books!

OLIVER WOOD WAS SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE MOVIE? FUCK. I LOVE HIM D:

And that, quite frankly, is an impressive feat, lol.

Yes, Oliver is in the trailer, actually, on his broom. Personally, I think they should have worked him into every scene. Naked. Or wet. Or something to show off the hotness that is Sean Biggerstaff.

Lol ikr :/ Lame sauce. But we all know that Team Prongs wins at life, so.

No way! I never even noticed! I'm such a terrible fan. And I totally agree with that - why didn't you work on the film??

If I'd worked on the films, Oliver would have ended up as the fourth member of the Trio, lol.

so filmgoers who never read the books walked out of DH2 thinking Snape was Harry's father

Ugh, yes, and this is the biggest tragedy of all. Just...no. You know, Kloves loves Hermione and Snape so much I'm surprised things didn't go all Snape/Hermione at the end, lol. I think I'm secretly going to call DH: Pt 2, SNAPE: The Canonization. ><

As for how he passed his memories in the books, I believe he already had them waiting in a phial. Either than, or he pulled them from his mind and put them in the phial. Regardless, THERE WERE NOT TEARS!! Honestly, Snape in the movies is ridiculously emo.

The first epilogue scene was much longer but when they went back to refilm it it got cut short. I imagine Teddy got cut as well. ><

Oliver was actually in the movie?! See I was expecting him to be shown on screen for more than two seconds, lol.

Some people were claiming it was too slow, and I was like, "Were we watching the same film?"The fuck? Hahaha, I can't believe people felt that part was slow. They would have never made it through ( ... )

You know, I never realized that in the movie, but now that you point out how weird that is, that irks me too! Maybe she read it in Hogwarts: A History? My only guess.

You have no idea how much I laughed when I read this. (She definitely had to have. XD )
