Reisner
Last Friday the Reisner head I won at eBay was delivered. Floor was so kind to tell me about the auction and after some thought I decided to use the buy it now option, because the previous Reisner head I found on eBay was sold for $800 and the seller of a Reisner head I found at DoA wanted what she paid for it: $1700.
So 300 GBP didn't sound bad for a never used head with original face-up in good condition. The eyes were still hot glued in the head.
Not bad at all considering I expected to need about €3000 to get a full set Reisner and now I only need to find an SD17 body to complete him.

Hot glued eyes. It took a blow dryer and some careful hacking to get the eyes out.
Just showing the way the eyelashes are glued in. It's different from what I usually do. I glue the eyelashes on the rim of the eye lid and here they are glued on the inside of the eye wells.

I like the default face-up. It's nicely detailed and the white eyelashes are a nice touch.
He doesn't make a cute blond. o_O
<3 profile. Usually I like bigger noses or noses with more "shape" to them, but still his profile is cute.
I like how the model of this wig suits him and surprisingly blue hair does not look too off.
Most of the times I don't find Volks molds very interesting. I do like stylised doll heads and there are some Volks heads I find interesting to look at, but not interesting enough to have. Of all Volks molds I liked enough to have it had to be a popular limited, but I'm glad I have the head now and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg to get it. ^_^
Because he arrived so soon (didn't expect to be able to buy him this or next year) he still doesn't have a name.
