I had a meeting with my project supervisor to discuss my project at 1.15.

I got to the train station to discover that the 12.30 train had been cancelled. I immediately started to panic because I hate being late. When I got to the station it was 1.08. It normally takes me 15-20 minutes to get to the building, but thanks to a brisk run I was only two minutes late.

I arrived at my supervisor's office...

... To find he wasn't there.

I waited....

..... And waited.....

..... And waited.

He finally showed up over half an hour later, and apparently didn't think an apology was required.

Thanks to all the running, my hip had become incredibly painful (I'm not sure what's wrong with it; I really should see a doctor) and I could barely hobble.

Did I mention there was a heavy downpour?

Just to round off the day, I walked past some roadworks and got blasted with a cloud of white dust. I was wearing black.

The plus side to the story is that he had no problems with my topic and said that it has the potential to be interesting.

I'm reading Sophie's Choice. It's depressing.
