i{ve been in mexico for the past 8 days. it{s been beautiful. i am lazy and will not erase any mistakes in this entry. keyboards in mexico have all the punctation marks in different places than on american ones. makes sense. it has to be different. i notice that through my travels i see a huge number ofpeople that are begging to be different, but all at once end up being the same. too many people want to be just like americans, and do stupid american things. the best thing i did this entire trip was hike up to the top of a mountain and look down. i forgot my camera and then i was a little angry, but i took a mental photograph. i also want to hike up there again. tomorrow before i leave. looking down from the peak of the (more like a hill) mountain was so awesome. it was an ocean of clouds before me.... stretched out for miles. i could see the peaks of other mountains peaking through the clouds in the distace. near the mountain at the base there was enough clarity to see many more people making the hike up. at the peak with me were a handful of people... all panting, sweating, all feeling a similar burning pain in their muscles, and everyone gazing and appreciating the view... loving every moment of it. i guess they all felt like they had accomplished something. something awesome. at least, that{s how i felt. ill write another journal upon arriving home, about my family and cousins and uncles i met i had never known.
