Nervous didn't begin to describe Mikuru as she waited in front of House Theta for Gray. As she shifted back and forth from foot to foot so she wouldn't pace, she could feel her legs shaking against the skirt of her pink sundress; every now and then she put a hand to her hair to make sure the top half was still tied in its neat knot and the bottom half was free of tangles and snares.
She'd been the one to suggest the date, sure, but that didn't stop her from wondering if he'd even go along with everything she wanted to do. Shopping was something that she wasn't entirely sure Gray would enjoy; even if most boys generally went along with that kind of thing, what if he thought it was stupid? She was sure he'd agree to go to the beach (even if it was incredibly hot and she was almost embarrassed for him to see her in a bikini), and she figured a nice dinner wouldn't be something he would object to, barring any aversion to candlelight and romance, but still...
