Losing my religion

Is it really that difficult to start something?  Unfortunately it is.  Right now I have so many thoughts and feelings running through my head that I can’t even figure out where to begin!  Of course, part of that is I want to sound interesting and cool but it is beside the point at this moment.  So moving on….

I find that making lists help--I myself am a very messy individual--and if you follow the list, it works. I have one main one on the fridge: It is broken up like this: Everyday, Sunday thru Saturday, Every Week, Every Month. Small tasks, broken up as such, make them easier to handle. At least, I've found that to be the case. Small goals.

And I understand the faith thing. I haven't stepped foot in a church for over 8 months. I'm still too mad. Still too angry. Still too much. It makes me angry and makes me sad because I so desperately WANT to be involved in a church and have that, but I just can't handle it. So I understand.

As far as self-motivating goes I struggled with this and continue to. Making lists DOES help me also. But most of all it's about developing a LOT of inner resolve and if necessary, it's about cutting yourself OFF from your obsessions. If I know a videogame would distract me for 3 hours even if I tried to only play it for one, I don't even start it until I have the necessary free time FOR the long amount of time I would spend on it. For you, if the internet is a problem, turn it off, disconnect it, and gets some work done, THEN turn it back on. Fighting temptation is hard, but it gets easier with practice ( ... )
