An Aging Moment
I'd dropped the older two kids at middle school and was driving back home when my right foot began to ache.
The pain radiated out from the joint between the foot and the small toe, engulfing about half of the foot with it's throbbing intensity. I wanted to reach down and crack my toes to relieve the aching, but I knew from experience that didn't work. Not on this pain, anyway.
"Hmmph," I grunted. "I guess rain is coming after all."
