I'm listening to/watching the Kepler launch over on NASA TV and the commentators are reminding us that all the money that gets spent in space research isn't just burned up in orbit - it goes to pay American engineers, technicians and scientists. NASA Spacecraft Confirms Martian Water, Mission Extended

So, water on Mars has been confirmed. Excellent. Not only is this of great scientific import, but it should be a good boost to NASA's exploration program....
