The Mars Phoenix Lander has touched down!
Mars missions have about a 50/50 chance of success, so I'm thrilled that this one appears to have bumped up the average a bit.
Pictures should start arriving in about an hour or so, and after that Phoenix will start investigating the Martian tundra for organic materials - signs that life may have existed there, or may still.
