I fixed two weird little problems with my computer ALL BY MYSELF. I found out where my audio drivers went and figured out why iTunes was thinking that 15 free gigs on C: wasn't enough to consolidate the library.

And this is on top of installing a new printer yesterday.

I've sent off an inquiry to the computer store I dealt with last time - Mercantile Computer Shop. They're a place in Osaka that specializes in helping foreign customers - I place none of the blame for all the craziness I've gone through on them. They couldn't have known.... So it used to be that the Machine would spontaneously shut down only if I was doing some sort of high-intensity task, like playing The Sims. Recently it's been doing it while doing less intesive work like, say, watching The Daily Show or updating Flickr. So, I'm playing the Sims 2, and the computer just... shuts down. It's happened before, and I thought it might be an airflow problem - the area under the right side of the keyboard does get kinda warm. But now, it happened again. I think my iPod is screwing with my computer. For the last few days the thing has been glitchy and generally irritating - asking me to run the updater, and then just idling there, doing nothing.
