Boot camp has been awesome, but my knees have definitely felt the impact. I knew I needed to get better shoes - ones that are designed for being on the hardwood gym and running around since we do a lot of that at boot camp. But I'm a procrastinator. Yesterday I strained something in my knee. No one thing. Just a series of agility and balance exercises that were hard on my knees. I have one knee that has an ACL from a generous tissue donor (I am totally a tissue donor - people like me need tissue donors - be a tissue donor). It held up fine. My birth knee - is rather swollen today.
I can't really walk. So I'm staying home. Applying ice. Trying not to put any more weight than I have to on it. It got better overnight - but not better enough for me to walk a mile up a hill to get to work.
