My first official half-art

I wrote you about my hobby of glass painting, but I will need to admit, until today like one hour ago) I was...not creating art in the full sense. I was trying to study how to transfer the image from a paper onto a glass substrate. More or less I am getting more and more happy with what I am doing.

As a person who works in a field of research, despite all the thoughts about chaotic decision about starting to paint, there is a certain logic (plans, goals) I want to achieve by doing this. And one of the small step to the final goal is to slowly study how to create artistic image without too much external help. Today I think I did pretty important step towards this goal. I found one image with pretty fancy and detailed vector graphic of japanese girl. It is funny to say, but due to the fact I am periodically search for images, I can't remember neither source, name or even web-service hosting the image. However, due to its complicated drawing it is literally impossible to transfer it on the 21 cm x 21 cm glass piece (at least with the tools I have). So, what I did yesterday, I tried to adopt this image taking the basis of it, but removing some levels of detalization and adding some elements that were not presented in the original image. As I saw the original - it was about demonic-like japanese girl. When I started to give image colors, I was looking on the original from time to time, though it was hard to actually fit to color scheme proposed by the author of the image. So, I decided to modify the whole color schema.

The picture of this piece of art is HERE (as usual, link on facebook :) ), but I think it is AMAZING. Also, it is my second image on the glass with texture on it and I think I will buy more of those. The color schema is about autumn, but not a brazilian autumn, the autumn I remember in Ukraine (or Czech Republic), when in October/November you go to the park, and see all possible variety of yellow/orange/red colors everywhere. I like this time of the year (questionably) the most and, kinda missing it. I just hope this year the weather will be "nice" to me and I will have a chance to have a small sight of it while being in Europe in September. Specially in Serbia at Avala tower...)
