I am Legend: Not a bad movie. The combo of special effects, setting and cinematography build a great image of solitude, and Will isn't bad as a bloke who's been on his own for too long. The denouement is confused thematically. We get strong hints that Will's character is not a reliable judge of the situation, but there's no follow-through. In the end we get a rather limited resolution that doesn't address the issues raised by Will's contradictions. It could also be seen as rather simplistically moralistic, but an American film wouldn't resort to that, surely? *sigh*
The CGI could be better. The wildlife was mildly unconvincing, especially the male lion. And the evil nasties move exactly the same as the leaping robots in Will's last SF effort I Robot, and have rubbery faces from The Mummy.
