Boy, are my dogs killing me. Yeah, I talk like I'm 90. You wanna fight about it?
I worked 9-5:30 today and it was pretty dang busy. We didn't have any major douchebaggery going on though, so that was fine. Today was Carol's last day (she's worked out front the last 19 years and is the one who trained me my very first day on the job!). She is retiring, as she more than certainly deserves to after devoting so much time to The Empire (I've decided that I am the lone jedi who works there trying to take down the Death Star. Indulge me. I'm old.). There was a small party for her, complete with a card signed by all of us, some pizzas, sodas, and cake. It was all very tasty, in a bittersweet kind of way.
After I came home and had dinner with my parents (Jeremy's working 5-10 so he was already at Shaw's), we went with Mai, Bubba, Peter and Isaiah to the ice cream place in Dighton. The boys were very excited to see and to pet the cows and goats on the. They were a little freaked out by the little ox, but once I patted it they stopped running away from the fence. Once we were thoroughly smelling of dairy goat and were finished with our ice cream (or yum-yums, if you spreken ze twin), we went back to Mai's house and let the twins run free in the yard for awhile. I think they will sleep very well indeed tonight. Now we're just crashing in the living room. Dad's watching tv, and I'm going to be reading further in Little Dorrit. She has just thanked Mr. Clennam for saving her brother Tip, and then gotten stuck out on the street all night with Maggie. Sketchy!
Tomorrow I'm going with mom and my grandmother to St. Anne's hospital in Fall River. They're having a mass for the patients who have died the last few months, and my grandfather is being honored among them during the prayer service. Mom thinks we'll take Avo out for a coffee or something after, so she doesn't get depressed. I'm thinking we're going to the Ward 5 festa as well tomorrow.
And now for some fun!
