Grandpa's mass went well. He was one of the people being honored in a mass at St. Anne's hospital in Fall River. It was a service for those who have died there the last few months. It was just weird because the priest began by speaking of St. Augustine, and my grandpa is buried on St. Augustine's Hill in St. Joseph's Cemetery. And then the homily was ALL ABOUT HIS GRANDFATHER WHO SUDDENLY TOOK ILL AND DIED WHILE THE PRIEST WAS A COLLEGE STUDENT.
Kismet? Coincidence? Or yet another little sign from beyond?! Seriously. We were all a little emotional, especially when the nun who helps run the chapel remembered my mom and said some very kind words. After the service, Mom, Avo, Aunt Cindy and I went to the Caravela for lunch. It was DELICIOUS, as usual. :) Once we were all good and stuffed, Mom and I dropped off Aunt Cindy and Avo and then came home so we could go to the festa with Dad, Jeremy, and Jeremy's little friend Kristin. I think they're together, but apparently mum is the word when it comes to them. Whatever. It's not exactly a secret!! The festa was at the Ward Five, which is a nice club anyway. We all had a great time, and ended up following Mai and Bubba to New Bedford when they went to drop off the twins. We all stayed at Paul's house for awhile and then finally got to come home!!! It was a very tiring day, but mostly good.
Today I didn't really do much of anything. I worked out on the exercise bike for a bit. Mostly my bum hurts because of the stupid seat, but I hope it's burning calories as well!! I did some laundry and made myself a small lunch, and then just spent the afternoon watching Hellsing OVAs, which follow the manga. Needless to say: MOST EXCELLENT! I had to go to work 5-9. It was okay. It was Monday. Not much else to say about that.
