Saturday/ Sunday
I spent just a couple of hours with Julie this morning, and I won't see her tomorrow, as she is having a home visit again. It is too much for her to absorb both being home and visitors at the same time, so I will give her some space.
She had a nice morning, enjoying a wider variety of foods- including a bite of Nicky's cheeseburger from the hospital cafeteria. Her Pt session was rally good- her endurance just keeps getting better and better, and she did a bunch of repetitions lifting a 4 lb medicine ball over her head whice keeping her trunk straight. She is getting stronger and stronger every day. It is amazing to see.
She spent so much time laughing with Nicky today I imagine her sides hurt.
In speech, she had to do a little math, which was hard for her, but every day she gets a little better at it. She was also practicing reading and interpreting signs, to find her way around a hospital and reading expiration dates on milk cartons. Good practical skills to have.
