Nostalgia calling, SPN the early days.
So after watching my last three SPN eps this morning, I decided to find my old music vids, haha, oh back in the day I loved the vid making. And awwwwwwww it made me literally SO nostalgic for seasons 1 & 2 and it made me miss John to absolute death, i'm sorry nobody trumped John for me. Not Bobby, not anyone can come close to the effect he caused on those boys good and bad. I MISS the bones off him.
This vid made me ache for the subtleties of the earlier seasons, while this show will own me till the last seconds of the last series of whenever the hell that might be the writing was so much more subtle back then and the impact of certain scenes, Sam finding Dad dead, Dean smashing the car in, Sam's close up profile when they tell him how bad Dean is hurt in IMTOD, John's goodbye, the silent grief on their faces as they watch him burn, Dean's first emo tear call to John in Home, the look in Sam's eyes when he's silently warring whether to kill possessed John like he wants him to, THAT MACK TRUCK CRASH!!!! Ouch ouch OUCH. Things never needed to be spelled out for us like I feel the writers try to do these days. They just felt organic and painful and hurty and awesome. Those seasons are incredible. They really are. And while I can't wait for anything we get i miss those old days so much it's ridiculous.
Here's said old school video, my skills were clearly mediocre at best but the feelings are the same. Such nostalgia for that. I remember making them at uni. So much has changed since I started watching this show and got hooked at the pilot in 05. Jeez.
