Dot's sign language vocabulary is growing.  I thought I'd go ahead and add the newer words here so I could have a recored of it ( Read more... )

After 13 months of me doing it almost daily, Dot finally did the sign for "milk" today.  I think she knows what it means, although she hasn't yet asked for milk.

Other signs she knows:

Eat/Hungry = doesn't do it often, though
More = does it ALL the time, sometimes for "more" but I often think she thinks it means "I want something, and it's your job to ( Read more... )

We took Dot in for her 1 year well-baby check, and things look great.

Stats
Weight:  18 lbs., 11 oz.
Height:  28"
Percentile: 11th for weight, 13th for height
Teeth:  7

She's all proportional and everything, just on the littler end of the scale.  That's fine with me, as I was always really little, too.  She seems to be happy and healthy.  She got her ( Read more... )

In the last couple of weeks, Dot has gotten so lovey.  I mean, she's been a good snuggler before, but now she's all about the hugs.  She totally picks up her baby doll or her teddy bear just to give them hugs.  She will even pat them and rock them.  She'll come up and hug your leg and lay her face on you, and it's so sweet.  Probably the best part ( Read more... )

So, Rob was just holding Dot in his arms, and I was standing right next to them, sort of leaning on him. Dot would lean in, give me a hug, straighten back up, lean over the other way, give Rob a hug, straighten up, and then do it all again.

I think I may have just had my favorite moment ever.
