I've been trying to loose weight and get in shape on my own and with free classes at the VA, but to no avail. I either feel I'm not getting enough of a workout, or I overdo it and end up 'resting' for a week or two. I finally bit the bullet and decided to get some professional help to get in shape.
So cinroll and I had our first Personal Trainer sessions today at 24 Hr Fitness. We both have physical conditions that make it difficult to just 'jump in and do it.' I'm quite pleased with the trainer so far. Mine was VERY knowledgeable about medical conditions such as mine, and gave me a good plan to start with.
We are both feeling the effects, but not to the point that it stops us from doing anything. And that's the way we want to keep it. So we are going to keep each other in line, and of course paying for club membership is a great way to stay motivated. I will get back in shape, and I can do it this year if I go about it the right way.
