It took me the first year I think to refine and perfect my system of paperwork/homework/uniform/sportswear. You'll get there, but don't stress too much, only the Stepford Wives get 100% - and you wouldn't want to be one of them now would you.

E's in her third year at school, and I still forget to send back library books (English and French) on Monday, go over English spelling words on Thursdays for Friday's test, French words on Sunday for Monday's test, read French book to equal 15 minutes of work, read the new English book that gets sent home everyday, etc. If E didn't do her own spelling and maths homework on her own, nothing would get done!!! Forget about Wacky Hair Day, Pyjama Day, or any other special event.

I am a Bad Parent!!! Which is why my daughter still wants me to read her bedtime story, take her places, and still kisses me good-bye at school or the bus.

Don't worry, hun, you're in good company!

PAH ! to all these articles. If you give your child love and time then surely the buggy they are taken out in makes no difference.

I can see these boffins working these things out without a thought to the fact that these are real peole they are talking about.

As you say guilt is a huge part of Motherhood. We don't need much of a trigger.....I'm a serious martyr to it......

I'm horribly disorganised in a lot of ways but I try to keep as much on top of all the demands as I can. We can only do our best.

OK so that isn't perfect; but hey who wants to be perfect ? ( I'd like to try it out for a day mind just for the experience ).

Good to know that I'm not the only one who forgets things.
