This is shameless request to start a campaign so my wonderful husband can go to watch the European Cup Final in Rome.

Mr T and I had our first ever proper holiday since we moved / he started his new job the other week.  We stayed with his parents - who are, fortunately, lovely - in a small village just outside Haywards Heath.  It’s the sort of place that’s great when you’re a little kid as all your friends live locally and there’s a green and some woods to run ( Read more... )

The Tubblet has been learning to read and write using letters and sounds (aka phonics).  This involves looking at the letters on the page and then spelling them out to work out the words.  She’s making reasonable progress.  Whilst walking home from school with Mr T this Friday, she spelt out C - R - A - P phonically and then told him exactly what ( Read more... )

Last weekend we went on a family outing to Ripley’s Believe It Or Not.  Ripley’s is the spiritual home of such wonders as the Bun That Looks Like Mother Theresa.

Our evening started at the Real Ale Pub, followed by the Trendy Wine Bar and then finished up at Wagamamas.  We chatted all night about Stuff.  (And not all of it was about the Tubblet or work or church).  And then we went home.  And, in the words of Samuel Pepy’s, so to bed.

The One was interviewed in this month’s Red Magazine about his TV watching habits.  His TV crush is, “Nigella Lawson.  When she’s licking her fingers in her dressing grown, I can’t turn it off”.  Whilst I have never cooked anything successfully from a Nigella recipe, she certainly knows how to talk up the food and work what she has.
