doc_mystery and I have been on Carribean vacations before, but only one other since our kid was born.  Usually, someone gets sick.  And this one was no exception.  This is the main reason why I am anxious about such trips.  If I'm going to be sick (or nurse a sick kid), I'd rather do it at home.

I think I'm starting to get hot flashes.  I'm only 41! (going on 42).

The Girl-O is at camp, about one hour west of Barrie.  I was really worried about her today, given the heat and knowing there is no air conditioning at the camp.  I convinced myself that this was a potentially life-threatening situation (people and kids can die from heat stroke, you know), so I called the Unicamp director to politely inquire about ( Read more... )

About 2 weeks before we left for Florida, I started to wonder if I had become lactose-intolerant.  I guess about a month ago, my friend treated me to some ice-cream at a movie.  I ordered the small size, which turned out to be a whopping huge amount.  But I ate it, because it was good.

Back from Disneyworld, and I'm exhausted and in rough shape.  Last time, it took me a whole week to recover.  Woke up with wicked heartburn this morning, probably from a week of too-rich food and lots of caffeine.  Not to mention booze.

When I'm sleep-deprived and stressed, my upper eyelid starts twitching.  Not a good sign. 

I've been ill for over a week.  It started out as a cough last Thursday (no sore throat or congestion).  Then I had a Jungian exam Saturday in Toronto, crashed on Sunday, but never really recovered.  Then the nose started running (backwards), adding post-nasal drip to the cough.
