No more "go earlier" option?

I had a long absence from Livejournal, and when I came back, I found it difficult to read my Friends page.  It used to be that you could scroll down quite a ways (not exactly "infinite scroll", but almost), then have the option to click on "go earlier" to read even older friends' posts.  Not anymore.

What gives?  How do I scroll back through my friends' posts without having to select an individual person and their archive?
