I saw the movie Ender's Game tonight. As I said on Facebook, I think it was a fair adaptation of the book, despite having dropped a couple of sub-plots. The zero-gravity battle-room sequences were amazing -- much better than I had imagined in my head while reading the book this past week.
I've been reading some reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, and am surprised at the number of references to author Orson Scott Card's anti-gay opinions (which don't show up in the movie). I'm even more surprised at his anti-gay opinions. I think he should take look at a paragraph from his own book. The part when he describes the normality of conflict while establishing a human colony on another planet:
"There were crimes and quarrels, alongside kindness and cooperation; there were people who loved each other and people who did not; it was a human world."
