C++ multi-threading programming, g++, gnumake

For the compiler in Debian Stable that I use, the Programmer needs to add two flags to enable support for

• and
• std::thread

functionality to the CXXFLAGS variable.

So in my makefile(s) that I use for using C++ multi-threading, I added the below two CXXFLAGS.

• "-std=c++11" and
• "-pthread"

trimmer - new cplusplus project

In working with x12 834v5010 sample files, to use for testing nc_834v5010generator, I notice that sometimes the files have unnecessary whitespace padding either at the beginning of a segment, before the segment ID, or after the segment terminator.

Kinda doing a minor major rewrite of the _834v5010validator, _834v5010segment, and _834v5010dataElement objects.

I've been slowly adding 834v5010 Segment and Data Element definitions to the _834V5010RULES file, then running DDD and stepping through the code, to see if I had captured the algorithm for loading Segments, Data Elements, ( Read more... )

Updated the Ncurses834v5010view.h and Ncurses834v5010view.cpp such that the HEADER GUI now displays a top-level CDK menu.

The menu does not yet activate any other code, but it's progress.

Maybe it is because it is Open Enrollment where I work, and I am getting inundated with questions where sample 834 code would give people answers, or that, since I am already extremely busy 'now!' is what my brain told me for this project, or, that some advice I have read online says, basically, 'there is never a good time, so to get something done ( Read more... )

I updated my Debian Stable to v7 Wheezy by doing a full wipe and install. Now I need to get my laptop ready to resume working on my 834v5010generator.

Still pursuing trying JX as my GUI API, per recommendations of a fellow SGVLUG member.

So to start, install a C compiler, make, programming text editor, graphical debugger, and GIT client...
