Jonny Depp was the best thing about Chuck and the Choc Factory. Without him the movie would have been far, far less interesting. Strange as it may seem for me to say, I wish there'd been less CGI and more actual mechanics. Case in point: the opening titles. CGI makes everything so easy and, in this case, far too clean. The messiness of City of Lost Children would have been very cool here (as it was there). The Oompa Loompa songs were lost in Danny Elfman's music - and didn't he get anough credits. I think I saw his name at least 4 times.

Still working on my entertainment unit. I've put on another coat of stain just this minute. Perhaps it'll need another, and perhaps I'll just get too impatient and want it in the lounge as quickly as possible. (Damn its 8 hour drying time!)
