I went to my first practice for the University jazz band last night. I'm playing bass, so I'm a little rusty (I learned to play the bass last semester of grade 12, and didn't play much over the summer)but I think it went alright. Your Last Excuse had our second gig today, at the Guelph Masai Benefit Concert. Aside from some acoustical issues (the room we were playing in wasn't good for music) I think it went pretty well. We probably have a gig at the Vinyl soon, so I'll keep posting about it in the next few weeks.

I wrote my fourth and final exam today. Biology was easy, english and calculus were mediocre to well-done, and geometry sucked a little bit. I really wish I knew the binomial theorem - it probably could have helped on the questions like, "Use the binomial theorem to solve this expression." Today kicked ass! I recently joined a band called Your Last Excuse. Today we played at a park party near where the other three guys in the band live, and we were pretty damn good. The Boston trip is over, and it kicked a lot of ass. I'm a little tired, so I'm not going into too much detail, but it was the most fun I've had all year. We saw a play called Shear Madness about a whodunit murder in a barber shop where the audience votes on who the killer is and they have different endings for each outcome. Music night kicked a lot of ass. The first few bands and choir were pretty good, but the Senoir choir and the Royal Jazz Band were kind of the best. I'm still really pumped from playing Born to be Wild.
