First of all...author Diana Gabaldon (who wrote the "Outlander" series I'm obsessed with) will be at a book signing here in Toronto on June 10th. This is so exciting. I can't wait to meet her, I've been a fan of the series since I was about fifteen.:)For any fellow Torontonians out there who love these books as much as I do, you MUST go. lol ( Read more... )

I've heard a lot of good things from people on my list about Wicked. I plan on going for sure.

Where, oh, where was Nightcrawler? I adored Alan Cumming's portrayal in the second film, and POOF, he doesn't even make a cameo in this film. :(

THANK YOU! I loved that character and I thought for sure he would be back.

I was never into the comic books either, but as a kid I loved the X-men series of cartoons. I think #2 was brilliantly done, but I wouldn't thank you for the other 2 movies, especially this most recent installment-the special effects were great, but other than that I found it too rushed, no flow and just everywhere with the characters.

My main problem... with each installment they kept adding new mutants and abandoning others...case in point with Alan's character, Nightcrawler. You didn't really learn a lot about any of the characters (with the exception of Wolverine I guess). I know it's an action movie, but it's always nice to see an action film have some sort of balance of action, effects and character development with each release. I feel they kept adding new mutants just for the sake of pleasing the comic book crowd-look we added so and so mutant, meh! Personally I wish they had just concentrated on the main mutants on either side and had cameo mutants aka background fillers for, LOL!

Anyway, yes, Brangelina had their baby, Shiloh Nouvel (?) I may have spelt that wrong but I'm too lazy to go and check. I'm just hoping all of this news just calms down now. I mean, I know they are major celebrities, but I find it a little ridiculous the fuss that is being made over them and this baby. They're not Mary and Joeseph, this was not an immaculate conception and the kid isn't Christ, LOL! I wish them luck and happiness, but the media needs to stop already.

Supposedly the recent X-Men video game that came out gives clues as to what happened to Nightcrawler between the second and third movies, and why he's not in the final film. I don't play video games myself but I have a friend who plays quite obsessively so I hope he can give me an answer about that.

I agree with the length of this last film. I also thought it was far too short. How can the supposed final film of a franchise be the shortest one? It doesn't make any sense. I would have been happy if it had been about two hours and 10 minutes, or so.

I know what you mean about there being far too many characters. I always thought that they should have made about five films for this franchise so that they could take their time in introducing new characters and building up their background stories. Even the main character, Wolverine, is vague sometimes.

Case in point with this recent film is the extremely poor use of Angel and some of the mutants that joined the Brotherhood, like Callisto.

As for Brad...every now and then a major celeb couple has a baby, and this one is interesting because they got together after Brad left Jennifer, and then moved to Africa. I actually thought the hype wasn't too bad about the baby. I still think Tom Cruise's daughter got far more publicity.

I'm not buying that whole story that the two of them got together AFTER Jen, but I care about Jen Aniston about as much as I care about Brad and Angelina, so whatever will be will be I guess. I wish them all well and off my tv screen and off my movie screen as well.

I haven't like anything (all of them combined) have done since, well…Brad in 'Legends Of The Fall', Angelina in 'Girl Interrupted' and Jen…? I have yet to see her in anything worth seeing.

That's because you like Brad it didn't seem so bad, LOL! I agree about Tom, though. It was really awful, but then again you have Tom Cruise out prompting M3 and him, his craziness and big teeth wouldn't shut the hell up about her.

Brad and Angie were basically in hiding, yet for some reason it was important for their every move to make news even before the baby was born! They were basically stalked! I remember seeing photographers stalking the two at different airport locals from London, to Paris, to Africa and this was on CTV news!! I wasn't watching an entertainment channel! Ridiculous! This is news? Yawn.

Even pictures of the family at some carnival in Paris or Angelina getting out of plane, yet again...on the news… The People Magazine article about them being the most beautiful family? *I may vomit* Side note: Angelina has really strong features: lips and jawline as does Brad: Lips and jawline I will laugh if this child mixed of the worlds most beautiful people's DNA turns out FUG.

I guess I am just sick of seeing celebs so in your face, whether it be of their own fault, the media's or both combined. I get turned off by it either way. First it was Bennifer, then Tomkat now Brangelina. The only kudos I will give Brad and Angelina minus the people article they are trying to keep it low key unlike Tom and Katie and what was once JLO and Ben.

I don't believe Brad and Angelina hooked up after he divorced from Jennifer, either. I didn't mean to make it sound like I did. I loved Jennifer on friends, but personally think Brad is a better match with Angelina. He's always been into helping out around the world and having lot's of children and in that sense it didn't look like he was compatible with Jennifer.

That's a good point about me being a Brad fan so it probably won't bother me with all of their publicity. :) I think the news coverage on them is ridiculous too, but at least they aren't courting it...they are hoping to keep the papparazzi out of their way.
