I have these light -box fixtures - there is a thick piece of wood about  a  foot out from the wall, with translucent plastic beneath it and light bulbs in the wall behind it.  So I was just sitting down to eat dinner, and i see Fred staring intently at the light box in the dining room.  I look up to see what has him so fascinated...and there is a ( Read more... )

Mrs. Kennedy, for (in addition to being a notable woman) inspiring the drink I am now consuming (a very large jigger of vodka, a splash of cranberry juice (so it's rose-colored) and club soda - cool, bubbly, not too sweet, and very alcoholic.  my proportions may differ from the original).  and the cats for giving me reason to drink it.

life seems to be quieting down, at least at work, so i finally have time to catch up on things.

-finished my noro chunky yarn-thing - it did end up to be (somewhat generous) neckerchief size, but that should work out well to use.  and if i can keep on the weight-thing, it could be tied around my waist.
