Beer Review 4 - Hibernation Ale

Nov 13, 2006 22:42

I kind of like Great Divide's Hibernation Ale. It's a reddish light brown. Subdued, earthy, a little grainy, a little malty. Hops can be detected without too much trouble if you look for them, but it's generally mild. It's an 8% ABV, and there is a little bit of a bite, though it's more like being nibbled on by a lover than being bitten forcefully. It makes for a pretty cozy drinking experience, and the name is appropriate for the brew.

EDIT: This one started out good, but partially ungrew on me. It was simply better-than-ok by the time I had three of them.

beer, things that i find acceptable
