Ready to go.

Phew. Just turned on my computer to kill some time, and I see that I got an e-mail from my ride an hour ago saying we'll probably leave around noon. Here I've been sitting with all my stuff in a pile, ready to go with my eye ever on my cell phone, since a bit before 10, since she'd originally said we'd leave between 10 and noon and she'd give me a call when she was ready ^^; It's kind of troublesome to get rides with people one has never met before ...

Anyway, since I have at least 10 minutes ...

So glad that exams are over with. This week was overwhelming. Some annoyance with one of my roommates did not help either. Though I get along very well (I think) with the girl I share a room with, I'll be glad to get away from my other two roommates for a month and a half. Whee.

Yesterday, I had a orz moment. I was walking in the (nice, heated, tiled) bridge crossing over the busy road that divides my campus, on the way to my morning exam. Because of the snow, I was wearing wedge-heeled shoes, so that my pant legs wouldn't drag on the ground (ever a problem for me). The bridge is slightly arched, and as I was walking through the part that slants slightly down ... well, I'm not sure exactly, but perhaps I tripped a little or my feet just happened to line up in the wrong way, because I began to slide forward on the slickness created by the moisture between my flat shoes and the tiled floor. I lost my balance, toppling forward hard onto my knees. Yes, it was a literal orz moment ^^; (And it took me a few long moments to be able to get back up ... and a bunch of girls from the class I was heading to were right behind me, enhancing how silly I felt even if they didn't laugh or anything.)

Anyway, getting to be time to turn my lappy off. The snow is still coming down hard (there's gotta be at least a foot of it on the ground), but it's not as bad as it was earlier this morning. I hope that my ride home goes OK ...

I love you all, dear friends *salutes* And I hope to see you soon.

EDIT: I posted this entry up because I got a call from my ride ... who says we'll be leaving at 1:30 instead of noon. Oh, well. The snow should be tapering off by then, she said, so that should make driving conditions easier. I really want to get out of here (I'm all alone and I've had my stuff packed up for a while ...) but it's also true that I'd rather leave in safer conditions. So ... guess I'll just have to kill time until then ^^;

EDIT2: Also, my Code Geass pt. 2 LE and Toward the Terra pt. 3 finally shipped out today ... except since I ordered them so long ago thinking they would ship out earlier, they're being sent to my campus address orz This shouldn't be a problem since I'm sure the campus mail service will hold the package for me, but it means I won't see it until the end of January. Oh, well. Birthday present?
