1) Solved my writing issue by switching from Word to longhand in a notebook. It's odd how that can jar things loose in your brain. I pretty much have to write on the computer for long stories, but this isn't going to be one. I also stepped away from trying to make the characters actually consummate anything, because they - or she, really - wouldn't cooperate and I figured I should listen to her. So I switched to a five-things format and am sticking with the lovely, painful, guilty UST. I am not allowed to read any more of anyone else's SCC fic until I've finished one of my own, so I have a real incentive to finish.

2) I've been up by 9:00 two mornings in a row, which will make anyone who knows me point and laugh. I don't do mornings. The sleep deprivation is going to catch up to me because I've been going to bed at my usual time in the wee hours. Must. Have. Sleep. The sleep I've been getting is at least good because the new memory foam mattress is the comfiest thing I have ever slept on by far.

3) The reason I've been up early is to deal with our insurance company and the adjusters and three - yes, THREE - separate claims: one on the homeowner's policy for the roof (not one for the car tent, unfortunately, because that turned out to be less than the deductible), one for H's summer car under the collapsed car tent and a metric assload of snow, and one for the cracked windshield on my car. It's been a tough winter.
