The con may be over but the festivities didn't stop after my last post. I was able to meet up with quite a few friends in the last moments because everyone was back in the hotel and they were easier to spot in a smaller crowd. Rainy day today, although I didn't actually get rained on except at one cache site. All day long, it looked like I was moving from area to area to dodge the rain clouds, but that's just how my timing worked out. I started in Columbia, NJ, and bagged a few geocaches. • Took the day off.
  
• Went geocaching around Central Jersey in on-and-off rainy weather.
  
• Found "Dead Man's Creek #1" but location is dubious and it is a buried cache, so I reported it and it is now archived.

Sunny and 70°F again. Went to Long Island to visit the new SAKI-3K geocaches and threw in some RPA-4K geocaches I didn't get a chance to do on a previous visit. The reason why so many geocaches on Long Island are prefixed this way is those were placed to celebrate a geocacher's 1000-find milestone. After yesterday's rain, today was sunny and not too hot or humid. I did the geocaches I skipped yesterday because of rain and then I continued from where I stopped. Also crossed over to Pennsylvania but stopped at Easton, leaving the rest of the Lehigh Valley geocaches for another weekend because it was getting late by then. Another hot day but it rained late in the afternoon. I went to the Pocono Mountains area. I was interested in seeking the "Trout Trails & Tales" series of geocaches that latitude55 had placed. Each Trout Trails geocache is near one of 15 decorated trout sculptures. I was a little disappointed, however, that I wasn't able to see some of the trout ( Read more... )

Saturday: In honor of the all new higher gas prices, I went to Orange County. It was a warm day, sunny and over 80°F. I hadn't been to Orange Co. in a while, so there were many new geocaches.
