Murphy
Last night I got to go see one of my favorite music artitst, Peter Murphy.
It was VERY good. He was at the Roseland, and there were hardly any people there when we arrived.
In fact, it was general admission and there was only one row of people in front of the stage when we arrived.
by the time Peter played, the place was about half full!
He is getting old!
you can see that he is balding in back,
and after the show I walked to my car behind a group of girls who couldn't have been older than 19
who were making fun of Peter's love handles. I chuckled cuz it was kinda funny.
However , his voice shows no signs of age.
He did lots of songs from Cascade.
He did a few from his newst album, Unshattered,
One from Dust (which was kinda a divergence into turkish music)
Deep Ocean vast Sea
That which cannot be repeat
Cuts you up, and 'sweetest drop' of course
he did 'Disappearing' which I think is one of my favorite
and a VERY cool duet with the girl that opened for him of Huuvola.
I doubt he'll ever come again.
But if he does.. I'll be there
