Yes, trying! But I dont have much to work with here! Like I said, I'm not going to adopt just for the sake of adopting. I want to find a dog that works for us, and I want a dog that is going to be happy in our home. But we're trying!

Please, Zee, I beg you- do not get a dog unless you adopt. You might not get a dog at the exact moment that you want one but I promise you that if you are patient, the dog you are meant to have will come into your life.

You're like that SPCA ad with Sarah Mclachlin and the sad puppy and kitty faces! Killing me Hillary!

We aren't in a rush at all. If it takes a year to find my dog, I am okay with that. I don't want to rush, I want that one in a million dog and I know it will come around at the right time. I am just really having a hard time with the breed selection at our shelter. I wish we had the selection you guys have at places like North Shore.

Good, I should be killing you! It is ABSURD to pay money for a dog when there are THOUSANDS that need homes. You will find the right dog, the right dog will find you, I PROMISE. Your patience to do the right thing will pay off. Karma is real!!!

I am sorry I really do not mean to lecture you or be up on a high horse- this is just one cause I am so passionate about and frankly it is worth it to me to come off as a little bit of an asshole. You know I love you!

Oh shush. I know what your saying and I know that is what I want to do, truly. I just worry that I won't find a dog that will like the cats. My main concern is that we get something that won't eat the kitties and all the dogs I have seen at the SPCA are labeled as not cat friendly.

My dog will come around when the time is right. I just have to remind myself of that. He or she is out there *somewhere*.
