New Job!
Went to an interview for a part-time bar job yesterday. I had been so tempted not to go, as it was at 9.30am & I had barely slept the night before, but I'm so glad I did, as I got it!
After talking to me for a bit, the landlord said he was going to follow his instincts and offer me a trial shift. This was a good sign, as I heard him interviewing the guy before me, & he hadn't got one. The job is 18 hours a week, 5 pounds an hour.
However, the landlord made a point of saying several times that the pub had a bad reputation, that some of the customers are "wannabe gangsters" and that I may find after my trial shift I feel I "just can't do it" Evidently this has happened before!
So, I'm off to Pikey Central at 7pm tonight. Wish me luck - I think I'm gonna need it! ;-)
