The Craft
Oddly, each time I watch this movie, the more I enjoy it. I used to think it was just so-so, but this time I really enjoyed myself. Fairuza Balk just dominates that whole movie. Grade: B+
Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale
What if Santa was chained up in your barn? What if that Santa wasn't Santa at all, but actually a minion for a mega-Santa frozen in a block of ice under a mountain. Well this 9 year old has to take charge of this situation. Grade: B+
World War Z
An interesting take on how to solve the zombie apocalypse. Brad Pitt is always a great casting choice. Grade: B
Hubie Halloween
This is my kids' generation of 'Ernest Scared Stupid'. It's lighthearted and silly. My wife doesn't like this simpleton version of Adam Sandler, but I think it works. Grade: B
Tales of Terror
A Vincent Price triple-feature of Edgar Allen Poe short stories. He and Peter Lorre knock it out of the park with 'The Black Cat'. The comedic acting it terrific. Grade: B+
