Thanks to Big Brother

Well, I sat the exam (2/3rds of it anyway), but I owe Big Bro a lot for his support, before, during and after. I don't think I would even have got as far as sitting down without him. Anyway, 6th August is the day I'll find out if I did enough to pass.

I'm also grateful to my brother for successfully completing most of the challenges I set him when he went away to Las Vegas, the only failure being because the CBS store didn't have half the items in stock that are advertised on their website. Very disappointing, especially as the mail order service for those items is for US customers only. Still, I was very pleased with my haul and BB went to a lot of effort, including finding me two CSI T-shirts that were pink and pale blue instead of the usual black and some other very specific CSI items. I also asked for, and got, some more pedestrian Las Vegas items, street maps, local papers etc. which may help inspire my writing in future. Some of the items even came from the same store Langston went into to show off the journalist's photo in the penultimate episode of this series, and Big Bro even went to The CSI: Experience in the hope they might have a good selection of souvenirs - although circumstantial evidence indicates he probably enjoyed it more than he's letting on. :) All in all everything came to about $100, which at least made it easy to calculate the exchange rate for paying my brother back.

I'm also grateful to him for saying exactly the right thing about the T-shirt I was wearing the other day, even though he was sure he shouldn't say it. I just hope he meant it, because yesterday I went out and bought two more in the same style!

So, life should be starting to get back to normal for me, but I suspect it's going to be a few days yet, I feel really tired after all that's been happening, but that should go away soon I hope, or else I'll be spending the next two weeks achieving nothing other than staring at the tennis from Wimbledon.

Finally, Harvey Hamster is doing fine at the moment, in fact he's probably livelier than I am these days. The vet still wants to see him one more time but hopefully that's just to confirm all is OK.
