TAKE THAT!

There's no better way to show off his strength than by breaking things. Right now, those things would be tree limbs (from a neighbor's brush pile and Nephrite even actually asked permission; he's definitely changing). He pulls them apart as easily as if they're twigs, and gathers them into a large heap in the center of a stone ring he's ( Read more... )

Because fire is cool! Oh, wait. Because he can make one! Isn't that reason enough to celebrate?

Nephrite may very well still fall under the heading of 'punk', though. But there he is, looking as pleased with himself as can be, face bright with the thrill of accomplishment.

Take that!

"Kunzite. Do you have more wood?" Because what this fire needs is more. Really.

Oh, is Kunzite surprised to see a shitennou here? Smirking Nephrite smirks.

"You should pay me proper respect," he informs Kunzite. Because that'll go over well.

If the house stays intact, it'll be a miracle.

Jadeite can believe in miracles as of today if he doesn't already, because Nephrite really does have the fire contained despite the enormous heights of the flames.

Beat this.

"Come to congratulate me?" he taunts Jadeite as soon as he appears.

"Lies!" Nephrite raises his head proudly. "Look what I already made!" The fire is all his and lighter fluid and it's huge. HUGE!

"Name it. Right now."

Huh? Some friend of Jadeite's or something? Looks about his age or Jadeite's age, anyway. Nephrite doesn't pay too much attention except to ask.

"Who are you?" He'd have a lot to say about that glare if it hadn't vanished.

Wait a minute. How did this guy get here suddenly without Nephrite noticing?

Well, that explains that, at least.

"You can stay if you want," Nephrite offers. "We're having a bonfire." Because this is not obvious from the glow likely visible from space.

She... Isn't really surprised to see Nephrite making a fire like that, she refuses to call bonfire something so big, with the preparations he's taking it seems as if he's getting ready to burn a witch or something. Of course if it was her Nephrite or one that looked like him she would be surprised, but this Nephrite? It suits him, some way.

Usagi is again an accidental intruder in a world, but it's one she knows, more or less. There's this Nephrite, to whom she should apologize even though it won't serve of much probably, and she can feel somewhere the faint energy of a certain Ami. She is tempted to turn around and go to find her instead of staying there and invite her to have something somewhere, but that would feel like running away from him, right?

And she's curious to see just how big he plans to make this fire. So she just sits there, watching both the fire and him... Suddenly having the urge of getting some marshmallows and roasting them.

He's all red and fire; even his face is lit strangely as he turns around to Usagi. There's an eerie glow about it, and he's still grinning.

"See the fire?" he demands, smirking. "Look how big!" He'd like to Jadeite top this.

Even if humans can make fires, too. Shut up, Jadeite.

"Are you planning to burn someone?" Usagi asks with an amused smirk. Yes, she can see how big it is and it would worry her if she didn't see that he had actually prepared the area and isn't just randomly making it in the middle of somewhere. Still he should be careful if he doesn't want to start a huge fire that goes out of control.

He's so different to her Nephrite, he reminds her more of Jadeite, the same bold and impulsive character. She can't help herself; "I don't think it's big enough yet, though. Many people can make a fire just this big." She teases with apparent lack of interest.

Kunzite would have his head if this fire got out of control and burned the trees and flowers (of which there are an amazing abundance, all thriving thanks to that same Kunzite's green thumb).

He should be suspicious of that teasing, because it's the same teasing tone that always gets him in over his head. Unfortunately, he never learns this particular lesson.

"They cannot!" he insists. "This is bigger than they can do."
