Yuletide Blessings

Dec 06, 2009 07:37

The Yule season should be beautiful, but here there is no atmosphere and no weather to make it white and lovely. It is the Moon Castle, and even the Princess of Mercury has left off her mistress' studies for the day and is looking outside the window at the dusty landscape, the folds of her blue gown gathered in her hand ( Read more... )

Jellax had just left the grounds of Mariner Castle to do some more exploring. It had been a while since she had seen what the rest of the world outside Mariner Castle was up to.

But once she left the grounds of the castle, she found herself here. Some strange building she had never seen before. "Hmm? Am I still in the castle?" She wondered out loud. She glanced about the crowd until she saw a familiar face.

"Big sister Mercury!" She called out happily. "I'm so glad I found you!" The fact that she was in some weird place was forgotten once she saw Mercury's face.

These peaceful, quiet times are so nice. She can relax among the few people she's truly close to and enjoy the refined pursuits of the Silver Millenium court.

This, of course, changes instantaneously when a rather loud droid appears. But Mercury gives Jellax a friendly smile anyway and welcomes her.

"Jellax, Welcome to the Moon Castle." They've gone through too much together by now to treat her with that excessive caution anymore.

"The Moon castle? That's what this place is?" She looks around the place once more, gazing at everything in a new light now that she knew she wasn't at Mariner Castle anymore.

"Wow. It's a pretty place!" Jellax finally notices that Mercury is in a dress as opposed to her normal Sailor uniform. "You look pretty too, big sister!" Jellax told her with a smile.

"Ah, would you like wine or cider? Both are mulled with winter spices." If only she knew how ironic that offer is. Mercury seems to mean nothing in particular by it, already half-reaching for the goblets behind her.

"Mm. This is the Moon Castle of the Silver Millenium. Welcome to the Moon."

Where was this place? It was big! So big, someone might get lost. Was she lost? Pallas continued walking, making no effort to stop her curious exploration, that was until she heard voices ahead. Peeking around the corner, the mischievous girl watched, though failed miserably at keeping out of sight.

It's Mercury who notices Pallas first, and she wonders much the same thing. The other blue-haired girl looks so young - not that appearances matter for much in terms of that, here - like a little girl separated from her parents. But in the castle of all places?

The other senshi notice quickly as well and edge subtly closer to Princess Serenity.

"Are you lost?" Mercury asks. "Who are you, please?"

Busted! The small senshi's first inclination is to run away, but she doesn't feel threatened by the people she sees. They almost seem familiar, like people she'd seen before. But why were they dressed like that? Curiosity got the best of her, and after a brief moment she hopped out into full view and smiled.

"PallaPalla is in a strange place," she noted, blinking up to the girl. "You look like someone else."

For this impromptu gathering, the height of formality hadn't been required. But the senshi wouldn't find these clothes strange regardless.

"Like someone else?" Mercury questions carefully. She pauses a second, and realizes it must be the nexus. An alternate. But she doesn't know the girl in front of her at all. Someone she's supposed to meet later, then?

"Is your name Palla-Palla?"

Taking a wrong left into the Nexus sometimes had its good points.

Ami's confusion turned to a bit of glee as she finds herself in the epitome of a cozy, holiday party. "if the snow's falling, then I arrived just in time," she comments, shifting her purse onto her shoulder. For once, the doctor was in street clothes, looking ever the opposite of the Ami - no, Mercury - those in this universe knew.

Mercury gives her alternate a warm smile immediately. It might even widen as Ami praises the snow. She does want everyone to be able to enjoy it.

"Welcome to the Moon Castle," she greets Ami formally, stepping forward although she stops short of touching the other girl - between past and present life, it's so hard to say whether an alternate might be the 'same'.

"I apologize for the intrusion," came Ami's polite reply as she pulled her gloves off, "It seems you're all quite festive here, though." She chuckled softly, sighing as she finally felt herself warm up. "It's so chilly in Tokyo," she comments, though she's only half complaining; the chill made it feel like winter, after all.

"I apologize; I should have invited you to warm up first," Mercury says quietly. She guides Ami towards the fire, where the hot spiced wine and cider are still out in elegant goblets. "Would you like some?"
