Yuletide Blessings

The Yule season should be beautiful, but here there is no atmosphere and no weather to make it white and lovely. It is the Moon Castle, and even the Princess of Mercury has left off her mistress' studies for the day and is looking outside the window at the dusty landscape, the folds of her blue gown gathered in her hand

Jellax had just left the grounds of Mariner Castle to do some more exploring. It had been a while since she had seen what the rest of the world outside Mariner Castle was up to.

But once she left the grounds of the castle, she found herself here. Some strange building she had never seen before. "Hmm? Am I still in the castle?" She wondered out loud. She glanced about the crowd until she saw a familiar face.

"Big sister Mercury!" She called out happily. "I'm so glad I found you!" The fact that she was in some weird place was forgotten once she saw Mercury's face.

These peaceful, quiet times are so nice. She can relax among the few people she's truly close to and enjoy the refined pursuits of the Silver Millenium court.

This, of course, changes instantaneously when a rather loud droid appears. But Mercury gives Jellax a friendly smile anyway and welcomes her.

"Jellax, Welcome to the Moon Castle." They've gone through too much together by now to treat her with that excessive caution anymore.

"The Moon castle? That's what this place is?" She looks around the place once more, gazing at everything in a new light now that she knew she wasn't at Mariner Castle anymore.

"Wow. It's a pretty place!" Jellax finally notices that Mercury is in a dress as opposed to her normal Sailor uniform. "You look pretty too, big sister!" Jellax told her with a smile.

"Ah, would you like wine or cider? Both are mulled with winter spices." If only she knew how ironic that offer is. Mercury seems to mean nothing in particular by it, already half-reaching for the goblets behind her.

"Mm. This is the Moon Castle of the Silver Millenium. Welcome to the Moon."

Jellax was indeed born from a glass of wine, but those memories had become vague during her long stay at the nexus. Jellax thought for a moment, then decided upon the first thing that came to mind. "Cider sounds nice, big sister! I like how it sounds...it sounds funny!"

Jellax nodded as Mercury told her about the Moon Castle. "It's so nice here. I'm glad I got sent here on accident!"

The funny-sounding drink turns out to be apple-based, but a far cry from apple juice by the time it's been distilled, spiced, and heated. Mercury hands Jellax a fine goblet, and the sweet aroma trails behind it with the movement.

"You sound very cheerful," she remarks. "Have you been well?"

"I'm always happy when I'm with you, big sister!" She tells her, taking the glass in hand. Jellax takes a moment to study the cider before she downs it.

"Hey! This smells nice and tastes really good, too!" Being a creature based off a liquid drink, she should know.

The other girls shoot Jellax a few bemused looks; they're somewhat used to the antics Mercury's described but it's a little surreal to see the reserved princess treated so exuberantly and casually. For her part, Mercury doesn't seem to mind, really. She has a strong sense of propriety, but the strength of her wish to be close to others wins out over it.

"We are celebrating the Yuletide season," she explains; they are tens of thousands of years before Christmas, after all. "A holiday to break up the dullness of winter."
