Dun dun DUUUUN!
A Tsukino Usagi not seen in the Nexus for a little while is getting ready for....a snow day. Yup, they had a blizzard and her school was cancelled. So, she's gathering up her colored pencils and paper, tucking her bottle of pepper spray into her pajama pocket (her mother never lets her leave the house, or stay at home by herself, without it now) and putting on her glasses. Today was a day to relax and have a nice snack as she watched her new Star Trek DV-
Suddenly, she hears a sound from upstairs.
"Aah!!"
She jumps up, pepper spray in hand, and runs up the flight. She looks in her bedroom. Nothing. Shingo's? Nothing. Hall closet? Nada.
She flies into her parents' room, and...!
"Luna!" The black cat stops pawing through the tipped over bathroom garbage and stares at Usagi like a deer in headlights. "No! No, bad! Shoo!"
Usagi takes several steps forward, and the cat immediately bolts, knowing she's in trouble. Pouting, Usagi bends down slowly to pick up all the scattered trash, 'eww'ing at used tissues and Swiffer cloths. Her parents must have left their door open. Luna was so not getting kitty treats today.
Soon, all that is left is a crumpled Wendy's wrapper (well, no wonder Luna came in!) and a stick. Usagi brings her hand over towards the stick once her eyes catch it...and she stares at it.
And stares. And stares.
Finally, her eyes widen as she picks it up. She quickly fishes through the garbage again, finding the appropriate box (broken up and wrapped in used tissues, ewww...). She looks back and forth at the box, then the stick, then the box again, then-no, no, this has got to be a surreal dream-her mom is...?!
"Wh--no way!!"
In related news, citizens of the Nexus, feel free to assume that stick is hers.
