My Third Business Trip
I sure suck at keeping a blog updated. Looking at the title of this entry, one would think I can't count either.
Anyway, my second business trip was going to LA to do the actual voice over recording for the game. All in all, I think it went well; we were able to successfully record the voice over dialog for the game generally without a hitch. All data was accounted for when we sent the files to the developer, apparently, since they haven't complained about anything. All's well that ends well, and I think I made new friends in the director and his family. They were kind enough to invite me to a Passover seder, among other things.
For my third business trip, I'll be going back to LA again in 3 days to produce yet another voice over recording for yet another video game (sequel to the above, in fact). This time, I'll be in Los Angeles from July 2 to September 13. That's a long time. I sure hope I don't forget too much of my Japanese while I'm there...
In addition to producing the VO, I'll also be doing some debugging of the first game (it'll be released this November, I've heard), mostly related to the in-game text. This business trip looks to be even busier than the last one, but I think I'm ready for it.
This job always brings new challenges and opportunities to improve myself, which is definitely a good thing, but it also brings some stress ^^; I can always do my best though, and if I can do that, ginormous failures of epic proportions should be avoidable.
