I'm looking for a place that might sell 50s-style rockabilly/swing dresses (and any related accessories, namely shoes, though it's the dresses that are proving to be the hardest to find). Also appreciated would be recommendations for bars/clubs and diners that fit the 50s/rockabilly theme.

Hello, I'm an American expat and I was wondering if anyone knows of a bar in Montreal that will/might be carrying the State of the Union address by Barack Obama on its tv/s, or if you know of a SOTU watch party anywhere. Looks like it's a long shot but thought I'd still ask. Thanks!

Bonjour, does anyone know of a good bar that is quiet on a Saturday night?  I'm looking for a place to have a conversation and not be drowned out by loud music or crushed by people.  Any neighbourhood works, but in particular Mile End, Plateau, downtown, St-Henri or NDG.
