Things I Love Thursdays: Third Edition

This one is brought to you by the letter J, for...

1. Jeremy: This man has shown himself to be a true partner. He's caring, sensitive, generous, considerate, and we have gone to great lengths together to make our relationship one that we can be proud of. We have the right amount of differences to maintain our individuality, and the right amount of sames to make us compatible. He's my manfella, and he makes me so happy.

2. Jaclyn (A.K.A Jax): My best friend throughout university, and one of my favourite people to this day. She lives on the other side of the country, and I miss her. Hopefully one day we'll be able to go on vacation together!

3. Journeys: not just trips to exotic places (besides, I already said "flying" for F to express my love of travel, and I feel like it's cheating by using synonyms for the same things over and over. That said, I REALLY want to list "jammies", but I've already covered that with "flannels".) But going through something, and coming out the other side. Even difficult emotional journeys make you stronger when you recover from them. Even journeys that are challenging in other ways can make you feel accomplished. So, in every way that you can define "journeys", I love them.

4. Jokes: the cornier, the better! I love to laugh! I love to make other people laugh.

5. Jeans: I wear jeans as my long pants almost exclusively. They look good on me and are damned comfortable. I almost don't even know how to wear other kinds of pants. They can be dressy or casual, which means for me, they're perfect because I'm basically both dressy and casual. It's just how I do.

6. June: The month of June is a beautiful thing. It's the month where the weather is my definition of perfect: summer sunshine without the intense heat of July & August. People are happier. Schedules are more relaxed. People start to spend more time with their families and friends. June is marvelous.

7. Joe: We've only had this fluffy little troublemaker since March, but he's a cutie, and we're stuck with him. He's a chatty cat seems to be making noise constantly, runs around the house all crazy, scratches up anything made of cardboard, and has a penchant for being in the way. ALL. THE. TIME.  Still, he's a floppy cat that likes to be held and cuddled, flips his tail around erratically when he's in a suckie-mood (it's quite endearing), and is fur has a silvery sheen unlike any grey cat I've seen before. He'll never replace Mookie or Sally, but he's ours now.

8. Joy of Baking: I find this website a reliable place to get excellent recipes, and I especially love that they list all their recipes both by volume and by weight. I prefer weight measurements for accuracy, but not a lot of recipes online are listed that way, and the volume of ingredients can vary wildly depending on region, humidity, quality of ingredients, etc. They also provide excellent photos, and even tutorial videos!

9. John Mayer: All you haters gonna hate, but I love his music and I feel no need to defend myself on this.

10. Jam: Particularly home-made jam, and jam that has tartness to counteract the sweet. Best buddy to peanut butter, filler of cakes and cookies, jam is one of those things that basically everyone I know has in their fridges. Yum!
