We've always had problems with our phone line here in this house. Whenever the wind blows the line comes loose from the pole and we get no dial tone and if someone tries to call in they get a busy signal. The funny thing is that we've never had any problems with Ed's business line which is on the same pole but set up 2 yrs later. We've had the phone company come by several times. They always seem to want to come into the house when we know it's messing up at the source not in the house. They do this so they can add a $30 service fee. There is no charge if they don't have to enter the premises. The phone worked for 2 days this past month. I've been fed up for quite a while with the service but this was the last straw. I disconnected that line and we're suppose to get a credit, we'll see. I also had them add a message so that anyone who calls the old number would know that we can be contacted on Ed's number. Somehow the idiot who took my info got the number wrong by one digit so now when you dial my old number it gives you the number for the post office. I'm a little t-ed off by this but more amused. People who we want to have our number already have our cells and/or Ed's business line. Those we don't care about can call the post office to their heart's content.
