Last night Edward and I went to
Oyster Bake to kick off
Fiesta. We had a great time. I even ate a few oysters. Not raw though. I had mine fried. We met up with my mom and dad and a co-worker of mom's named Karen and her husband Steve. We watched a couple of local bands play oldies and then went to the big stage to see Texas favorite
Robert Earl Keen. He plays bluesy Texas country rock and always puts on a good show. Ed and I left before the end of the show because he was worn out. As we were heading toward the gate we passed the oldies stage and heard what sounded like a woman howling (in pain). Turns out it was
Vince Vance and the Valiants. I love that picture! Kinda makes me wish we would have stopped to watch.
I'm going again this afternoon with
mrobenee_kelley. She got free tickets from her brother-in-law who played with his band last night and guess who his band is? That's right! Vince Vance and the Valiants. OMG! That's just hilarious. Now I really wish we would have stopped.
