So... the exceedingly good news: I was selected as one of 200 Truman finalists from across the country!! This means I get to go do an interview in Chicago, and if I impress the panel there, I will be picked as one of the 70-80 Truman Scholars for this year. Then the Truman Foundation will pay up to $30,000 for graduate school, my worries for ( Read more... )

A few essential facts that I must state:

#1 My dad's surgery seems to have gone amazingly well (I'll know more details by tomorrow, after his follow up appointment).
#2 I scored a Truman nomination alongside one of the most brilliant, hardworking men I know.
#3 My car is a disgusting mess that needs to be cleaned ASAP.
#4 I need to get my ass in gear.
