Changmin smiled as the rod was cast back into the Han River. Yunho was behind him with his hands on the younger’s hands and his chin rested on Changmin’s shoulder. Kangin had pointed that they could try to catch some fish and Yunho had immediately jumped on the chance.

Yunho and his father always went fishing on the weekends back when he was in high school. It had been their bonding time. His father had told Yunho he also did it to calm him down a little since Yunho was too active for his own good. Yunho really cherished those memories. Anytime he could spend with his family had been special.

“Now lean all the way back, and let the reel go flying!” Yunho explained, smiling at his boyfriend.

Changmin tried to do what Yunho said and failed. “This is ridiculous,” he said feeling quite embarrassed at his own fail.

“It’s not!” Yunho said as his hands traveled to Changmin’s stomach. “Baby?” he questioned.

Changmin turned to look at him and raised an eyebrow. “Me or the speck?” he questioned.

“Brat,” Yunho laughed and kissed his cheek. “You of course Changminnie.”

The younger boy put the rod aside and fully turned around. “Hmm?”

“When do you think you’ll begin to show?” Yunho asked the younger boy, as he rubbed circles onto his stomach. “I kinda wanna see you with a expanded belly.”

“I don’t know,” Changmin responded after giving a thought about it. “Last time I went to a doctor for a proper checkup was when I learned I was pregnant. That was the very day this shit broke loose, and when I talked to you on phone,” he explained. “The doctor told me I was 6 weeks more less. So I have to be around 3 months and half. Boa has been checking up on me from time to time, but without the proper equipment I’m not so sure anymore. However, apparently everything’s fine. ”

Yunho smiled and nodded. “Everything indeed will be ok Min. I’ll make sure of that so you don’t worry about anything. Ok?”

“Thanks,” Changmin mumbled. “Sometimes I wish all of this ended soon. I wonder what we’re gonna do bringing a baby into this world. I want our baby to grow up happily and not have to live in constant fear all the time. I don’t want it worrying about being eaten by walkers.”

Yunho tightened his grip on his lover and smiled. “Lets get back to catching fish or we’ll only have beans tonight,” he said, trying to change the subject for a while. It was a talk they had to have, but Yunho thought this was not the moment.

Maybe later.

Changmin hummed in agreement, and handed over the rod to Yunho. He watched as Yunho did his crazy moves, and threw the rod into the river, still talking and trying to explain things to him.

He sat on the rock and pondered. He knew he should be happy that Yunho and he were starting a family. He had been really happy when he learnt he was expecting. He had felt happy when he saw Yunho’s reaction. However, he was beginning to have some doubts. Sometimes he thought about what would it mean to bring a baby to this world. He was willing to fight to keep his baby alive, and he knew Yunho was too, but what if they failed. He didn’t want to bring a baby here just to suffer.

On good days, Changmin felt very high-spirited. The camp had been safe so far; they had spotted few walkers, nothing too dangerous. But on bad days, Changmin felt hopeless. He didn’t know if it was the hormones, but on those days he saw the world as a cruel place with only fear and death to offer.

“Yunho,” Changmin whispered as he was starting to feel a bit down.

Yunho was reeling in a few fish, and turned around. “Yes babe?”

“Do you think about your family?” The younger boy asked. “What really happened over there?” He dared to ask. Changmin had tried to bring the subject of Gwanjju up several times since Yunho arrived, but Yunho had always quickly changed the subject. That was exactly when he knew Yunho’s family didn’t make it.

It had been hard for Changmin as well. He loved Yunho’s family as his own, especially Jihye. However, he knew better and he knew he had to stay strong for his boyfriend.

Yunho sighed. He thought for a second if he should speak now or avoid the subject once more. “I think about them every day, Min. I feel as if I had abandoned them when I left,” he confessed, turning around. “I could have made them come with me. I could have tried harder, and then maybe they would still be alive.”

“Stop beating yourself over things that could or could not have happened,” Changmin said, leaning into Yunho’s shoulder, breathing in his natural scent. “At least you knew they loved you and they knew you loved them. In the end, even if they’re not with you, there are so many good memories to keep you going.”

Yunho nodded and smiled sadly, looking down for a bit.

Changmin gulped, trying to contain his forming tears. His chest tightened and he felt a burning feeling spreading through him like poison. “I-I went to see if they were ok, Yunho. I looked for them! But they are probably dead by now. I saw the blood and something inside me just knew. I lost my parents and I never got to say that I love them. This stupid pride of mine kept me from trying to make them accept our relationship. My sisters tried to convince me, to help me out with them, but I was too blind to see. I just wanted them to apologize to me,” Changmin finally burst out into tears, venting the feelings he had locked up for a while now. “I just wish I could have let them know that no matter what I still loved them so much.”

Yunho turned and hugged his boyfriend, rubbing his back slightly as the other boy sobbed against his neck. “I’m sure they knew, Changmin. They knew how much you loved them and they loved you, too.”

Changmin kept on sobbing, and Yunho sighed. “Remember that time when your sisters said you should date me because you really needed to get laid? They wanted you to date me so that you would stop being such a jerk.” He said softly when he felt Changmin start to calm down.

He leaned back again to separate himself from Yunho and wiped the tears out of his eyes with the back of his hands. Lately Changmin hasn’t been himself. He cried too often for his liking. He didn’t really liked feeling or looking vulnerable.

Changmin nodded with a soft smile, acknowledging what Yunho had just said.

Yunho bumped his shoulder with his Changmin’s before he felt something on the line. He reeled in more fish apparently. “I understand your parents Min. And I know they loved you. They may not have liked me that much but your sisters did, and I’m very grateful for that,” he said with a smile, as he felt Changmin leaning into his shoulder again. “Besides, they were right. I did loosen up your cranky behavior. I bet they would have loved that you were having a baby.”

“I know.” Changmin sighed, looking to the bucket beside him. It was filled with several types of fishes now. Changmin encircled Yunho’s waist with his arms, and leaned his head on his boyfriend’s s shoulders. “Jihye would have loved it, too.”

“I miss her. She was going to visit us in Seoul, remember?” Yunho said more to himself than to his boyfriend. “I miss my parents too, but I really miss her. I regret not going home to see her whenever I had the chance.”

Changmin tightened his hold around Yunho’s waist, and nuzzled his neck, liking the warmth irradiating from his lover’s body. “Regretting doesn’t work, it just hurts. We have to remember the good things and think ahead. I mean, for fuck’s sake, we’re having a baby.” He tried to lighten the mood a little bit.

“A princess or prince. I wonder which one it’s gonna be.” Yunho added turning his head to meet Changmin’s cheeks and finally lips. “I want to be a good father. Better and wiser than ours.”

Changmin kissed Yunho again. Not quite believing how lovey dovey he could be with Yunho sometimes. “You’ll be the perfect father. I know it.”

“And you’ll be a good mommy,” Yunho teased and winked at him.

Changmin growled, rolling his eyes and going back to his old and not so sweet self. “I am NOT a mommy!” He protested, hitting Yunho’s head not so lightly with his hand.

“Hit me but never leave me!” Yunho said over dramatically, still teasing his boyfriend. He loved to see Changmin smiling and not crying.

“Stop being such a jerk.” Changmin pouted until Yunho kissed him. “Kissing me won’t let you back onto my good side anytime soon so you can quit it now.”

Yunho smirked. “Kissing won’t do, but I know what will.”

Changmin rolled his eyes, wondering why he had fallen for such a cheesy, dense, idiotic and just plain perfect guy like Yunho.

Taemin was at the campsite helping clean a few things that Leeteuk asked of them. He sighed because he hadn’t seen his boyfriend for some hours. Minho had been acting off for the past couple of days and that bothered him. His mood was obviously going downhill and every time Taemin would ask what was wrong, Minho would say nothing. He had become a little distant and Taemin didn’t really know what to do.

“Hyung,” Kai said, carrying some fire logs. “What’s going on?” He asked, having a feeling that his brother was restless on the inside.

Taemin shook his head. “Nothing, I’m just thinking,” he answered, knowing well that his twin would probably see through his lie.

“About Minho hyung?” Kai asked. He may be 6 minutes younger than his non-identical twin, but he was also smart, especially when it came to his brother’s feelings and happenings. “He just needs time to himself.” He shrugged, trying to dismiss the topic.

Taemin raised an eyebrow. “By not talking to me,” he said, upset and with a tingle of sarcasm.

“You know what day is today?” Kai asked trying to not to be an asshole to his brother for using that tone with him. “It’s Minsuk’s birthday,” he added with a serious tone.

Taemin’s face paled. “I’m an idiot,” he muttered to himself. Today was Minho’s deceased brother’s birthday and he didn’t even remember it. Taemin surely felt like the greatest jerk ever.

With that, Taemin got up and went off into the woods to look for his boyfriend who had apparently volunteered to go hunting with Kangin. However, Kangin had come back already, saying that Minho had wanted to stay out for a whole. He was near the campsite, so there was no need to worry.

He walked into a clearing where the sun was shining, and it didn’t take long until he saw Minho lying on the grass looking at the clouds above him. Taemin walked over and dropped himself next to him, lying down on his chest.

“Took you a while to find me,” Minho smiled sadly.

Taemin snuggled into the warm flesh and let himself being hugged and kissed by the other boy. He really loved Minho.

For Minho, meeting the boy in 2008 was one of the best things that could have ever happened to him. It had been a little hard to begin dating him because of a little boy named Kai that usually acted like the ultimate cockblocker. He knew it was because Kai didn’t want his precious brother to suffer from heartbreak. So he kindly let that pass without hurting the boy.

He tried really hard winning over the parents and the little cockblocker, and finally Taemin agreed to date him one day. Minho loved Taemin with everything he had in him.

When the outbreak happened, the first thing that came into his head was to go and fetch Taemin and that was what he did. By the time he arrived to his boyfriend’s house both of the twins’ parents were killed by zombies and had turned into them. Kai had managed to keep himself and Taemin alive and both decided to go away with Minho.

Unfortunately by the time Minho arrived home, walkers had raided it, it was impossible to even try to enter since there were so many of them. Minho had to accept the worst as he watched from afar how Minsuk walked out of the house all bloody and already being one of those things.

“If I were to lose you, Taemin. I don’t know what I would do,” he whispered.

Taemin leaned up. “You won´t Minho. I’m not going anywhere anytime soon.” He beamed.

Minho smiled and kissed his boyfriend. The kiss started to become more demanding, more passionate but Taemin pushed Minho slightly, searching for his eyes. “You need to promise me something, Minho.”

“Whatever you want, Tae,” Minho said softly, caressing his boyfriend’s cheeks tenderly.

“No matter what happens, you’ll always keep my brother safe. You’ll always protect him, right? Because he and you are what keeps me alive,” Taemin said, looking at Minho with determination. “Because it kills me every time you two have to go out for supplies. I know he is capable of defending himself, but he’s reckless sometimes and I’m the only one that can reason with him. I’m afraid he’ll do something that could get him killed.”

Minho smiled. “I promise I’ll keep your baby brother safe and sound, no matter what.” he said, putting his right hand on his chest.

Right over his heart.

Taemin smiled and rolled onto his lover straddling his waist so he was on top of him. He leaned down and captured the older’s lips with his own as his hands started to unbutton his shirt with desperate movements.

Minho watched his boyfriend unbutton his shirt with dilated pupils, and smiled at the milky white skin being revealed. “You are so beautiful,” he whispered, roaming his hands on the younger boy’s hips.

Taemin yelped as Minho grabbed him and laid him down on the warm grass. He went in-between Taemin’s legs, and pinned his arms above his head, kissing him hungrily, from his neck down to his chest.

“Come on! Hurry up!” Taemin begged, loving the ministrations his lover on top was giving him. Minho buttoned his pants and he got rid of them along with his underwear in no time. “Please…”

“Ok, ok. Calm down Mr. Impatient.” Minho laughed as he undressed himself.

Taemin bucked his hips up for friction, but Minho held them still. “Wait a minute,” he said. “I need to prepare you.”

“Hurry up, Minho! We have to get back to the village to help with dinner and we can’t be out here for too long! You know that!” Taemin reasoned, feeling the need of having his boyfriend inside him right now. “I can take it!”

Minho nodded, feeling the rush of adrenaline as he entered Taemin just with the help of his saliva. Making love in the woods was surely dangerous but Minho trusted his senses.

Taemin panted. He didn’t want to admit that it hurt like hell without the proper precautions but he knew they didn’t have time and both really wanted and needed this.

“Tae! Oh God, you’re so…tight,” Minho grunted out as he slid in and out from the boy beneath him.

“Well, we -shit- haven’t really had sex in a few days,” the younger boy breathed out harshly.

“Let’s not talk about that...just, raise your leg higher. Y-yeah. That’s it,” Minho said as he grabbed Taemin’s leg and put in over his shoulder, making himself go even deeper within the boy, and making him hit his sweet spot dead.

It didn’t take long before both of them came rather hard, trying their best not to raise their voices too much. When they were done, Minho pulled out, and lay next to Taemin.

“That was-” Minho breathed out, still trying to regulate his breathing.

“Nice,” Taemin finished. He got up and immediately started to look for his scattered clothes. “We need to get going or the others will send a group to look for us.”

Minho nodded and both dressed up hastily before walking back to the camp.
